Tokio Hotel 2012 Calendar. Tokio Hotel is a German rock band, formed by twin brothers Bill and Tom Kaulitz. Their name is taken from the German spelling of Tokyo (as this is a city the brothers both love) and Hotel because of all the hotels they sleep in whilst on tour! The band was originally known as Devilish when they originally formed in 2001. In 2007, Tokio Hotel released their second German album Zimmer 483 and their first English album Scream which have combined album sales of over one million copies and have helped them to win the band their first MTV European Music Award.
