Hampton Court Palace Collection - Ranunculus Asiaticus Card
This card features one of the many plant species which can be found in the magnificent gardens at Hampton Court Palace. This plant is sometimes called a king-cup because of its association with Louis IX of France and it has been in and out if favour with gardeners ever since his reign. As the name suggests, Ranunculus Asiaticus has its roots in Asia; it was brought over to northern Europe from Turkey during the middle ages. This card is blank inside and can be used for a variety of greeting occasions. The reverse of the card contains more information on the cover subject matter.
