Claude Monet 2011 Calendar. This 2011 calendar features the highly influential and respected work of French painter Claude Monet. In his earlier years Monet became known for his charcoal caricatures, but it was not until he left school at 16, disillusioned with the traditional art, that he joined the studio of Charles Gleyre in Paris in 1862. Here he met Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Frederic Bazille, and Alfred Sisley and together they shared new approaches to art, known today as Impressionism. This Monet 2011 calendar features some of Claude’s most popular work for which he is renowned around the world.
