Keeshond 16 Month 2012 Calendar. Several countries (incl. US, Canada and Great Britain) classify the Keeshond and the German Wolfspitz (which was originally used for herding) as separate breeds, in other countries no distinction is made between them.
The Keeshond originates as a Barge Dog where it was a companion dog. In the 1800's the dogs went ashore where they have remained popular ever since.
