American Eskimo 16 Month 2012 Calendar. The American Eskimo Dog is primarily a companion dog which originates from the USA and in particular New York City. This breed was formerly known as the German Spitz which later became known as the American Eskimo Spitz.
Its popularity rose throughout the 1930s and 1940s as in that this breed was used as a circus performer. Indeed this breed as the rather dubious claim of being the very first dog to walk a tightrope!
